The Barcelona City Council search engine is a web application designed to help users find the most relevant information stored on the municipal web sites according to a search string or query that they have introduced.
The scope of the search is the content of all the municipal web pages that are indexed by the Google search engine.
The search engine works using the key words that the user introduces into the search box on the page. Once the user has validated the search, the most relevant links from the content of the municipal web pages will appear (based on Google search engine criteria).
Barcelona City Council reserves the right to use the search words or strings that the user introduces in the manner that it considers most appropriate. The purpose of this shall always be to improve the service provided to the user.
Barcelona City Council is the owner both of the personalised design and of the integration and the configuration of the Google search engine for the municipal web sites of www.bcn.cat.
